Feature Request: preset node name in link var

Hi Howie,
this is a little "feature request" that I think can be usefully in
some situation: in the preset variable of a link is possible to have
the names of the nodes? Something like {link:this:node1} and
{link:this:node2}?
This must be simple to implement and probably already exist, but in
the manual is not documented...
