Adding additional "external non Cacti data" to your maps

Any thoughts on how to add info on what Big Brother/Hobbit is reporting?
Doing the same thing done here

show a color change. "Red" or "Green" to let you know that a device on
the weathermap has an issue based on BB or Hobbit. Or I wonder if its
possible to show a thumbnail of a web page within a weathermap "In this
case BB or Hobbit" any web page would be nice to show. Then when you see
the BB/Hobbit thumbnail turn red you can click on the image and redirect
to BB/Hobbit.

This is the one piece that I'm missing to make my weathermaps complete.
Any ideas?
