I know you mentioned it - it was part of the reason for the plugin setup 
being the way it is! There are a few parts of this in place already - 
it's why all the DS plugins return a time, and why I added a hook for 
post-processing plugins. I just never filled in the last part of 
calculating the dates - is your solution a plugin or is it something 
more heavy?
