Thanks -- I had been wondering whether the icon approach would work, but
hadn't gotten to trying it yet.  Glad I didn't spend the time then.

I seem to remember there being some functionality somewhere in Cacti to
have it automatically dump actual graphs to image files on a schedule --
perhaps I could use those graph files as the icons.  Anyone have a
pointer for where to find that functionality or a comment on this
approach? :-)
